Small, friendly, and a bit on the quiet side, but not
to far from the back of the Village

Technoparc was added in 2003 after a year as the
Airtrack VIP (sic) private site. Situated on the road out past Houx and next to the chopper
pad, its a sensible place to camp, if a little on the small size to get
a "real" camping atmosphere.
2008 Update There are
no changes to Technoparc. It will continue to have no showers.
- Pros: Not too far a walk, comfy, mostly
harmless
- Cons: Feels a bit isolated from the race as
there is not a glimpse of the action from the site. Slightly flat
atmosphere
- Typical Camper: Genuine mixture of car clubs
and campers from across Europe
Here is a 2007 update from
Beermountain member Mr Swayse
"This is a small campsite over the road from the Karting track just
south of Karting Nord. It takes about 5 minutes longer to walk to the
main track area than from KN.
It is a fairly quiet campsite as far as race noise goes, most of the
noise comes from the helicopters up above and although partying is going
on it's not wild.
The people there are a mixed bag loads of Brits, some Danes, Germans,
French, Dutch etc. Mainly groups with their own set up ranging from
6-20+. One group brings a trailer full of beer barrels and a bar all the
way from home. BUT NONE OF THOSE LINES OF CORPORATE TENTS YET!!!
The access is not bad once you get passed the Arnage roundabout entrance
(via the Porsche Club and Beausejour road). There is only one way in and
out, with good security on the gates. (Until the usual Sunday post race
disappearing act).
There is a mobile toilet block with plenty of English style loos but no
showers, we either had to walk over to Karting Nord or use the Jeremy
Clarkson £10 Maplin car shower special, which to be honest worked really
well.
We arrived around 4pm on Thursday and had plenty of spots to choose
from, but as you can see this year was rather wet and the camp was
erected during breaks in the rain. I would not suggest arriving any
later than this though as space ran out quick and by Friday lunch time
was pretty full.
As this is a small site, the ground did not really cut up and the main
road round the site was tarmac so no one really got stuck in the mud.
So to recap it's a nice compact site, fairly quite, a fair walk from
everywhere but not as far as Beausejour, a friendly site with basic
facilities. No corporate, no bars or food stalls just good company."

The business - worth working hard
to get
A fine campsite, have no worries at all
staying here
No major problems, but if you have a choice, this is
not the top drawer of sites
Not a disaster, but unless your needs are very specific,
this probably wasn't your first choice
See if you can trade for something better, but at least
you have somewhere to camp, right?
