At present the largest site, plenty of atmosphere and
good access - this can be a very lively place during race week

Probably the largest single campsite, the Annexe is situated inside the
circuit between the Bugatti track and Tetre Rouge. It offers basic facilities
(but getting better) and suits all comers, from car camping to full size
motorhomes. Because of it's size and price it used to be the last site to sell
out, however it now seems to be the tribal base of choice for many veterans of
the Le Mans camping scene! You will need one ticket per car. There are semi official "spaces",
but it's first come, first served, so if you can, get there by Thursday lunchtime. The
access is particularly good with connecting roads to all parts of the
area, although the walk to the track is moderate compared to other
sites.
2008 Update Houx
Annexe will be
much smaller in overall size as a result of the tram and building
projects already well underway. There will be no numbered spaces or
zones. Motorhomes are still permitted.
- Pros: Good atmosphere; quite close to the track; easier to get a ticket;
it is possible to sleep here on Saturday night as the cars are more
than 500m away
- Cons: Not good if you like a quiet campsite,
but there really is no such thing at Le Mans anymore!
- Typical camper: The Lads, The Party Animals,
and those who just enjoy the Atmosphere

The business - worth working hard
to get
A fine campsite, have no worries at all
staying here
No major problems, but if you have a choice, this is
not the top drawer of sites
Not a disaster, but unless your needs are very specific,
this probably wasn't your first choice
See if you can trade for something better, but at least
you have somewhere to camp, right?
