Chateau Rive Sarthe is located just off the A11 to the south west of Le Mans, 20-30 minutes drive to the track in normal traffic conditions. This grand camping opportunity is one of two being offered by Travel Destinations during race week (the other is Chateau d'Eporce)

• Pros: A lovely setting and like minded campers around you using this place as a base to watch the race, lovely village within walking distance, hard standing for cars, meals included, okay site facilities, camping with tree cover, chalets on request, transfers to the track, you can even get them to put a tent up for you (!)
• Cons: Okay, stating the obvious, no sound of cars whizzing by here, or the smell of burning rubber in the morning, but that's possibly not what you are after?
• Typical camper: Small groups of people in nice cars out for a civilised weekend package

A fine campsite, have no worries at all staying here

No major problems, but if you have a choice, this is not the top drawer of sites

Not a disaster, but unless your needs are very specific, this probably wasn't your first choice

See if you can trade for something better, but at least you have somewhere to camp, right?
