Small and intimate location away from the action on the main campsites

Located just 4km from Mulsanne, "Camping Bounty" is a peaceful camping/fishing place within easy striking distance of the track, but totally away from the noise and action on the official campsites. With modest facilities and a programme of activity around Le Mans (including transportation to the track) this could work for you if you want a year "away from it all".

The site has a large secure car park. Camping is around the lake area. There are no marked spaces for camping - it will not be possible to have your own private camping area when the site is full, but with other facilities for socialising on site, this is probably not too big issue. There are also a small number of camper van berths with electrical hook ups.

• Pros: Quiet, secure, catering and most things laid on at reasonable cost
• Cons: Lacks the atmosphere of the larger campsites (but this may suit you) and you need to factor in getting about
• Typical camper: Those that prefer some structure but like to be independent from the mass market offering

We do not yet have a Beermountain review of this site, although we know the owner has been offering this facility for some time now. In 2008 there are planned improvements including a new shower/toilet block. We will review as soon as we can. You can see more in their website
