Situated a long way towards Arnage on the outfield past the car parks, Bleu
is a relaxed camp site with reasonable facilities. It's position means it's easy
to get around by car from during the race. It used to be an easy stroll
across and into Maison Blanche to watch the race, but new walls prevent this
now. Still a good place, and plenty of viewing options not too far away.
Especially if you have a bike!
2008 Update Blue is
actually now made up of 3 components - the large Bleu car park to the
North, then Bleu Nord and Bleu Sud. Bleu Nord and Blue Sud are both
campsites for tents and camper vans, but Nord has slightly better
facilities with numbered spaces and showers. Bleu Sud has WC but no
showers, and no numbered spaces. Bleu Sud is quite nice, being in a
smaller roadside strip location close to the entrance to Maison Blanche.
- Pros: Ease of access, atmosphere, lots of fun
on Mad Friday on the strip outside the site
- Cons: Distance to the village
- Typical Camper: Those who are not too fussy
about location and found it by chance and have decided its an
undiscovered gem
